Yeah I've worked for Starbucks for 4 years. I am a shift supervisor. I was making 12.41 in Portland at Seattle's Best then when I got transferred to Santa Monica the business was 6x as busy so they gave me a pay raise.

At my cafe in portland we made about 3 dollars an hour in tips, now I make like 1-2 dollars an hour in tips. So basically it evens out.

Never spit. Never really do anything unless you are super rude, then you get decaf. I know most baristas will decaf you if you are a little rude but I usually forget by the time I'm dealing with their drink.

I am not at all embarrassed that at 22 I am working at a coffee shop. I think you guys would be offending a lot of people including your friends to disparage people who work in customer service. But no a pay stub and I'll gladly believe it.
